About Tanasia Davis-Ramsey
Tanasia Davis-Ramsey was born and raised in Newark, NJ. Tanasia has always had a passion for film, poetry, and writing. She’s currently in her third year of college at Rutgers University. She has always loved to write short stories and screenplays. Famous writers that have inspired her include Walter Dean Myers, James Baldwin, Ntozake Shange, and Toni Morrison. For Tanasia, writing is a way to tell the stories of her people, and their experiences in all aspects. Tanasia feels that it is extremely important that we see ourselves depicted in literary pieces that reflect our lives. She hopes to one day transform these stories into films. She wants her words to someday inspire somebody else to continue to tell her people’s stories.

Corban Walker – "Ever Watchful is the Eye" Book Release and Poetry Reading

Ever Watchful Is the Eye provides readers with a plethora of poems and essays, that shines a light on social issues. The book not only analyzes society as a whole through the interesting perspective of the author; but at times casts light on the inner workings of the author’s mind. Walker colorfully attempts to paint an image with each piece, while simultaneously presenting challenging concepts before the reader’s eyes. Themes of depression, humanity, love, suicide, success and failure all make an appearance in the book. This literary work of art will not only leave the reader questioning concepts but will encourage them to look deeper into social occurrences.
